Gavin is a charming little 6 year old boy.  His great big smile will lighten up any room. He lives in an orphanage in Eastern Europe. He is in desperate need for proper medical care that can only be found in the United States. Gavin has one kidney and that kidney is enlarged and barely functioning. He has a permanent  catheter draining from his kidney. He is 6 years old but the size of a 3 year old, due to the seriousness of his illness. He needs a kidney, proper nutrition and most of all LOVE. This is where the Thomas family steps in.

The Thomas family consists of Andy,  a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, his wife, Lindsay, who is an RN, and their three beautiful children.  Andy has been serving for 12 years now. As a infantry man, he has seen his share of deployments. He has seen firsthand the needs of children in other nations, and his experiences have impacted the family’s decision to adopt internationally. He is a caring compassionate man and has been married to Lindsay for 10 years. Lindsay has been employed in the medical field for 8 years. She currently works as an RN with elderly patients in their homes. They both love children and feel that children are truly a blessing from God.

Together, they have wanted to adopt for many years. When they came across Gavin’s photo and information, they knew he was meant to be their son. With Andy’s medical coverage, Lindsay’s nursing experience,  and a warm loving family, Gavin will be loved and cherished as one of their own. Gavin will also have three siblings to play with. Andy & Lindsay have a 9 month old son named Tyler, a 3 year old little princess named Kaitlyn, and a big brother Bradley, who is 8 years old. Their children are already planning bedroom arrangements and Christmas presents for their new brother!

Although funding an adoption on a military salary is very difficult, the Thomas family believe with all their hearts that God will provide them with the funds to bring Gavin home.  Gavin’s situation is urgent though as he needs a kidney transplant, and they would greatly appreciate your prayers and encouragement that they can adopt him as soon as possible.
